Camp Marist offers a number of optional Specialty Trips for campers that are available on a first come/first served basis. Please note that all campers participates in one “Trip Day” per session, when the entire camp empties out to explore what New Hampshire has to offer. Some go hiking, some enjoy local watering holes, some go to the Polar Caves, Water Parks – we are surrounded by different opportunities!
The Specialty Trips listed below are additional opportunities with additional fees. These trips are scheduled at different times throughout the session, and not all trips are offered every session. Age restrictions and enrollment limits may apply.
The Blast
A visit to Funtown/Splashtown USA, a combination Amusement and Water Park in Saco, Maine, includes park admission, a picnic lunch and a stop for dinner on the ride home. The Blast is our most popular trip and space fills up quickly. The event is typically run twice a session with our older campers attending on a separate day from the younger campers. Campers of all ages – $130
Deep Sea Fishing
Our deep sea fishing trip is for the more adventurous angler who wants to move beyond our lake and try their hand at catching some salt water creatures. Campers are taken on a chartered fishing vessel from a local port, and typically hunt for mackerel or blue fish. Lunch and dinner are provided. Campers age 8 and up – $160
Ice Skating
That’s right…Ice Skating in the middle of summer! During this great half-day trip, you will depart from camp after lunch and travel to a local ice arena for an afternoon of skating. Skates will be provided at the rink. Campers of all ages – $50
Sea Dogs Baseball Party
An evening trip to the Portland Sea Dogs baseball game at Hadlock Field is the perfect way to celebrate summer in New England. The trip includes a picnic style all-you-can-eat BBQ dinner and admission to the game. Campers of all ages – $80
White Water Rafting
An overnight camping trip to the Maine wilderness includes a day’s rafting down the Kennebec River under the supervision of trained Adventure Bound instructors. The trip includes all meals, camping, rafts and safety equipment. Campers age 12 and up – $350
Zip Line Tour
See New Hampshire’s White Mountains from a different point of view! Camp Marist has partnered with Alpine Adventures professionals to help guide campers across zip lines and suspended bridges. With courses ranging from 800 to 1,600 feet long and 200 feet above the ground, this is sure to be an experience of a lifetime. The trip includes a picnic lunch, equipment and training, a guided zip line adventure and a stop for dinner on the way home. Campers age 12 and up, with a minimum weight of 70 lbs – $225
